WHat we Believe

Here at Upper Room Church, we believe in the Holy Bible as the authoritative Word of God, which is inerrant, infallible, and the optimum source for all doctrinal truths. We believe in one God, who exists in three coeternal and coequal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, is fully man and fully God, who lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for mankind, rose from the dead on the third day, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in glory and power. Also, we believe in the virgin birth, redemption, regeneration, salvation, repentance, sanctification, baptism of the Holy Spirit, and the five-fold ministry.

Moreover, we believe that the blood of Jesus Christ being sinless is completely sufficient to cleanse us of all sin. Through confession of sins and repentance, we can receive the cleansing of our sins brought about by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As a church, we believe in yielding to God’s Word and the Holy Spirit to develop Christ’s character in us, and we embrace the five-fold ministry gifts that Jesus gave to the church to train, unify, edify, strengthen, grow, and mature the body of Christ.
